PUPPETS: Pet sitter to be euthanised at Newcastle United’s homecoming article Newcastle United have confirmed that striker Peter Jiadson will be euthaned at the club after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The news was confirmed by the club on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Jiadson, who has scored 23 goals in 30 games this season, was suffering from severe hypertension, an infection of the blood vessels that surround the heart, according to Newcastle’s official website.
The striker was rushed to hospital, where he died from his condition on Wednesday afternoon.
The club’s medical staff have confirmed Jiadns condition is “not life-threatening”, with no further details to be released.
He was part of Newcastle’s first-team squad for their recent game at West Bromwich Albion, but his contract at St James’ Park is up at the end of the season.
